U17 AFCON: Eaglets Captain Highlights Their Objective In Algeria

Ahead of the kick-off of the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations tournament, the captain of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets Precious Williams has highlighted their objectives in Algeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The competition is slated to start on April 29th, but the 5-time World champions will commence their campaign on Sunday when they face the Junior Chipolopolos of Zambia.

While speaking to the CAF Media, the centre forward said their target is to qualify for the World Cup and also to emerge as the winner of the tournament in Algeria.

"The coaches have done their work to prepare us for the games and we are coming in to use the knowledge they have imparted to us to get what we want to achieve; qualifying for the World Cup and trying to win the tournament.

“It is a very special moment for me to wear the national team jersey and I want to go from here to the Super Eagles. This is a start and I hope it continues,” he stated.

The game against Zambia will come up at Mohamed Hamlaoui Stadium in Constantine.
