U17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets Land In Group 1 As CAF Releases Draw Procedure

Ahead of the draw for the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations, the African soccer ruling body had released the procedure and Golden Eaglets have landed in Pot 1, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

12 countries including Nigeria have secured their place in the competition that will be staged in Algeria.

According to the release, host Algeria, defending champions Cameroon and Nigeria are placed in group 1. That means Nigeria would not be in the same group with Cameroon and Algeria.

Group 2 consist of Senegal, Mali, and Morocco while group 3 has: South Africa, Burkina Faso, Congo, Somalia, South Sudan and Zambia.

The draw takes place this Wednesday, 1st February from 11 a.m. GMT in Cairo, Egypt.

The competition will take place from April 29 to May 19, 2023, in Algeria.
