U17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets Land In Pot 1, As CAF Release Draw Procedure

Ahead of the draw for the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations, the African soccer ruling body had released the procedure and Nigeria's Golden Eaglets are in Pot 1, BSNSports.com.ng has gathered.

Twelve countries including Nigeria have secured their place in the competition that will be staged in Algeria.

According to the release, host Algeria, defending champions Cameroon and Nigeria are placed in Pot 1.

Pot 2 consists of Senegal, Mali, and Morocco while group 3 has: South Africa, Burkina Faso, Congo, Somalia, South Sudan and Zambia.

The draw takes place this Wednesday, February 1 from 11 a.m. GMT in Cairo, Egypt.

The competition will take place from April 29 to May 19, 2023, in Algeria.
