U17 AFCON: Golden Eaglets Resume Abuja Camping Wednesday

Niyi Busari

With the Presidential and national legislative elections over, five times cadet world champions, Golden Eaglets will resume their training session on Wednesday, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

The WAFU B U17 champions had cut short their programme after they skipped training to go on break for the polls held on February 25.

Before the break, Coach Nduka Ugbade and his assistants had been drilling the Eaglets to be in top shape for the U17 AFCON in Algeria come April.

BSNSports gathered from a reliable source that all is set for the team to return to intense practice sessions.

"Wednesday has been fixed for a kick start of the team's second phase of training, as the players and coaches are back to base, and also with all logistics in place.

"We don't want to take chances as the tournament is fast coming. In so doing, and just as they did before the break, the Eaglets will play test games against academy teams to prepare them for the task ahead."

The WAFU B U17 champions are drawn in Group B along with South Africa, Morocco and Zambia.
