Sampson Adedeji
With 4 days to the start of the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations, the head coach of the South Africa Amajimbos Duncan Crowie is brimming with confidence as the team landed in Algeria late on Monday night, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The team has been in camp for almost 3 weeks, getting ready to pick one of the World Cup tickets allocated to the continent.
The team landed in the North African country late on Monday night and the coach believes they are ready to compete.
“I think it was a good two weeks that we spent together. We put in a lot of work, a lot of tactical work as far as preparation for the games is concerned.
We are getting close to game time and we have polished a few things. The rest will be important because the players have been training twice a day.
Managing them now up until the first game on 30 April 2023 is going to be important," he said.
South Africa will face Nigeria in the final group game after facing Morocco and Zambia earlier.
