U17 FIFA Women's World Cup: "We Want To Lift The Trophy To Make A Mark" - Flamingoes Coach

Flamingoes Head Coach, Bankole Olowookere said the team target is to win the World Cup in India to become the first African to achieve the feat, BSNSports.com.ng can report.
The Nigeria Women's U17 national team qualified for the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup on Saturday after a 1-0 (aggregate) win over Ethiopia.
Reacting to questions after the match, Bankole said, "the victory is for all coaches, NFF and supporters . So, we want to win the World Cup to make a mark and make Nigerians happy.
He said Ethiopia who defeated South Africa before facing Nigeris are good side describing the as the toughest they played against during the World Cup qualifiers.
"Ethiopia are one of the fittest team We have ever played. But thank God We have to apply wisdom to defeat them because our players played to the instruction. Everytime i called their attentions, they respond. There is nothing as good as that.

"I am very happy. We knew that Ethiopia are good side and we are better side and we prepared well For the encounter and at the end of the day we qualified. We thank Nigerians for the support. The NFF has been motivating us and been there for us and make us happy."
Nigeria, Morocco and Tanzania will represent Africa at the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in India which comes Up in October this year.
