U17 WAFU B: Ghana Back To Winning Ways, Pick Semi-final Ticket

Host Black Starlets of Ghana survived early pressure and mauled Junior Hawks of Togo in their final group game, BSNsports.com.ng has gathered.


Ghana succumbed to the superior power of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets losing 2-4 in the opening match in front of their fans.


They faced Togo in a must-win encounter at the Cape Coast Stadium on Friday and they came out in flying colours.



Despite the pressure, the Togolese team nullified all the attacking threats of Ghana to end the first half in a goalless affair.


Pius Adua gave the host a deserved lead in the 54th minute before Abdul Razak Salifu double their lead in the 77th minute.


Collins Agyemeng sealed the game from the penalty spot in the 80th minute and secure a semi-final place for Ghana.
