U17 WAFU B: Golden Eaglets Face Cote d'Ivoire In The Semi-Final

The Junior Elephants of Côte d'Ivoire will face the Golden Eaglets in the semi-final of the ongoing U17 WAFU B tourney, BSNsports.com.ng understand

The five-time World champions qualified for the last four of the competition in style beating hosts Black Starlets of Ghana and Junior Hawks of Togo in the group stage.

Cote d'Ivoire who walloped Niger 6-1 in their second group match have been confirmed to be the next opponents of the Nigeria side.

They surprisingly suffered 4-2 defeat to Burkina Faso in their last group match on Saturday afternoon.

Despite the defeat, they finished second with 3 points behind Burkina Faso who amassed maximum of 9 points.

Niger also shocked Benin Republic by beating them 3-1 but both teams crashed out via goal difference despite having the same point as CIV.

The other semi-final will see Burkina Faso face the Ghana.

The finalists will qualify to represent the region in the 2023 U17 African Cup of Nations in Algeria.
