U17 WAFU B: Nigeria, Burkina Faso Tie Ends In Stalemate

The hope of Nigeria's Golden Eaglets starting their campaign in the 2024 U17 WAFU championship on a strong note ended with disappointment as they only secured one point, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The host, Ghana sent a strong warning to all the participating teams with a resounding 5-1 win over Ivory Coast in the opening game.

Golden Eaglets of Nigeria who is also the defending champions faced their counterpart from Burkina Faso on Thursday and could only secure a draw 

The five-time World Champions took over the game from the start but consistently missed begging chances.

The Burkinababes hardly got out of the half but did enough to hold the Nigerians and earn a valuable draw.

The Nigerian side will hope to right their wrong when they face Niger on Sunday in the second group match.
