U17 WAFU B Qualifier: Ugbade Target Good Outing In Ghana

Newly appointed Nigeria's Golden Eaglets coach Uduka Ugbade has set his eyes on getting a good outing in the regional WAFU B qualifier, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.

Ugbade who has worked as an assistant to Emmanuel Amuneke in the past was appointed as the head coach of the U17 team last week and his first assignment is to qualify the team for the 2023 African Cup of Nations.

While speaking to a Lagos based radio, Brila FM Ugbade said he and his assistants are ready to worked hard and achieved the set objective.

" This things is not hard, me and my colleagues will have to develop a module.

The guys I've worked all over the country will have to come around and we have MRI for like 100 players.

If we can get 40 players who are okay, then we proceed to the next phase, which is about the physical condition, technicalities and the tactical aspect.

We have two matches to play in the first round and we must win the first one before we can talk about the next one, if we manage to qualify, then we are in the semi final.

I and my assistant will do everything possible to make sure that we achieve this goal," he said.

Cape Coast Ghana will host the qualifying tournament while Algeria will stage the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
