U17 WW/Cup Qualifier: Egypt's Coach Blames Bad Officiating For Loss

 Egyptian coach, Mohammed Mohsen, has attributed their defeat to poor officiating experienced in the game and hope of overturning the result in the second leg, BSNsports.com.ng gathered.

The North African country lost 4-0 to the Nigeria side at the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Sunday afternoon in the FIFA U17 World Cup qualifier which make the second leg a mountain to climb.

During the post-match conference, the coach blamed the referee for their defeat and urged CAF to always provide experienced referees for a high profile games.

"We played a very good game, maybe the experience of the Nigeria team is much better. 

"They controlled the game but the referee make it difficult, he changed the game, and one of our players was out for 4 minutes and we conceded a goal, this is unfair. The referee affected the performance of both teams, for a big game like this we need a very experienced referee because his stupid decision changed everything.

"But I'm very proud of my players, we will return home and see how it goes next week.

"It's the same thing either home or away we want to win the person that will qualify doesn't matter but we need to win and show that we have a very good team.

"I believed this was much more difficult for the Nigeria team than the Congo game, they sat on the floor after the game which means we gave them a very good game 

"The result did not favour us but hopefully next week it will be. Everything is possible, we can overturn the result in Cairo," he said.
