U17 WWC: Future Bright For Nigeria Women's Football, As Peseiro Hails Flamingos

Nigeria's Super Eagles manager Jose Peseiro has heaped praises on the Flamingos following their impressive performance in the just concluded 2022 U17 Women's World Cup in India, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian cadet team finished in the third position after they defeated Germany 3-2 on penalties on Saturday.

The Portuguese gaffer hailed the team through his social media handle and expressed belief in women's football in the country.

"Congratulations to the Flamingos, who won the bronze medal in the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in a penalty shootout against Germany.

“The future of women’s football in Nigeria is bright. Congratulations to all the players, staff and directors for this notable achievement," read Peseiro's tweet.
