The coach of Ghana's U17 Women's team, Joe Nana Adarkwa, has confirmed the readiness of his team to emerge as the winner of the ongoing WAFU B U17 competition at the expense of favourite Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flamingos are huge favourites for the competition after scoring 12 goals in matches. The coach confirmed that the pressure will be on the players and is confident they can handle the pressure and win the competition.

" Host and win, so there will be pressure on us. But the pressure will not be on the coaches but the players. But there will be pressure,” Adarkwa said.

“We are very, very ready for any match and we are going to perform well.”

The semi-finals of the competition are slated for Thursday in Accra.
