Head coach of Italy’s U17 women’s team, Viviana Schiavi, has shared insights on how her side outclassed Nigeria’s Flamingos in their emphatic 4-0 victory, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Schiavi’s team put on a dominant display, showcasing tactical discipline and clinical finishing to seal the win.

Speaking after the game, the coach expressed pride in her players’ performance and growth throughout the tournament.

 “Above all, we are very proud and happy with what the girls are showing on the pitch, game after game. They continue to grow in courage and confidence,” she said.

Reflecting on the match, Schiavi admitted it was a tough battle but credited her team’s composure and mentality for the result.

“It was a difficult and intense game from the first minute to the last. Once we broke through, the girls gained even more courage and went on to close out the game.”
