U17 World Cup: Senegal Seeks France Disqualification, Protest To FIFA

Following the usage of an unqualified player by France, the Senegalese Football Federation under Augustin Senghor has sent an official protest letter to the World Soccer ruling body, BSNSports.com.ng reports

France on Wednesday defeated the Junior Teranga Lions in the second round of the ongoing U17 FIFA World Cup in Indonesia.

Yanis Issoufou who played for the Niger U17 team during the African qualifier was in action for France in the game which was against the rule of FIFA.

The football body in Senegal on Thursday morning sent an official letter to FIFA seeking the disqualification of the 2001 champions.

It's yet to be seen if FIFA will disqualify France from progressing to the knockout round of the competition.
