U17WW/Cup: Flamingo To Know Group Opponents On Thursday If...

Nigeria’s U-17 women national team, the Flamingos, will discover their group stage opponents for the 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup on Thursday if they secure qualification for the tournament, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Flamingos are currently preparing for the next round of the qualifiers where they will face Guinea in a crucial encounter for a place at the mundial.

FIFA on Tuesday confirmed that the official draws for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup and FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup will take place in Zurich on Thursday, which also marks the opening day of the World Football Week.

According to FIFA, the match schedules for both competitions, including dates and venues for all fixtures, will be released immediately after the draws are concluded.

The 2025 FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup is scheduled to hold between October and December later this year.

Nigeria’s Flamingos remain one of Africa’s strongest sides at the cadet level and will be hoping to secure qualification and make another impressive outing on the global stage.
