With a few days to the start of the 2024 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup, the head coach of Flamingos, Bankole Olowookere, has admitted pressure, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The team is presently on a 2-weeks training tour at Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic.

They were held to a 1-1 draw in warm game on Monday, and the coach, while speaking to Brila FM, said they are working hard to handle the pressure.

“We know expectations are high, and my technical crew and I are working hard to prepare the girls to handle that pressure,” he said.

Flamingos are housed in group A alongside Ecuador, New Zealand and the host Dominican Republic.
