United States attacker Mary Long has revealed how they were able to tame Nigeria's Flamingos, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Despite winning all their 3 group stage games, Flamingos succumbed to the superiority of the American Ladies.

The North American giants clinched the game with a comfortable 2-0 win.

The attacker said they won the game because they played as a team.

"It was amazing. We played together. It was a tough game. Nigeria is a good team, but I think we played together as a team, and now it's time to focus on the semifinals", she said.
