U17WW/Cup: We Are Elated - Flamingos Coach

The coach of Nigeria's Flamingos, Bankole Olowookere, has expressed his excitement about the performance of the team, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Flamingos defeated the host Dominican Republic by a lone goal on Tuesday to progress into the knockout round with a maximum of 9 points.

But the coach insisted that they have to manage and contain their energy for the subsequent games.

" I’m so happy, I’m happy for myself, happy for the team and happy for the whole of Nigeria.

 "We knew in this match we had to manage our energy and strength; these are young girls with many games to play so we had to take it easy", he said.
