U18 AfroBasket: Junior D'Tigers Secure Quarter-Final Ticket

Nigeria's representatives at the FIBA U18 Afrobasket Championship in South Africa, Junior D'Tigers has secured the quarter-finals ticket, BSNSports.com.ng reports. 

They recorded their second victory by beating Uganda 72-61 to sail through to the quarter-finals.

The Junior D'Tigers are coached by Fubara Onyanabo.

The FIBA U18 AfroBasket 2024 tipped off on Sunday, September 1 and will round off on September 14.

 

 

Transfer Update: Super Falcons Defender Signs Contract Extension With Houston Dash

Nigeria's Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has signed a contract extension with her NWSL side Houston Dash, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Alozie joined the Dash in 2021 and she has become an integral part of the team.

" The Houston Dash and forward Michelle Alozie have agreed to a new two-year contract that will commence on Jan. 1, 2025", the club confirmed.

The new two-year contract includes a mutual option for the 2027 NWSL regular season.

The defender has appeared in 54 games for the Dash across all competitions since 2021
