Nigeria's junior women's cricket team has advanced to the Super Six stage of the ICC U-19 Women’s T20 World Cup in Malaysia, despite a 41-run loss to South Africa in their final Group C match on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Coming off a remarkable victory against New Zealand, Nigeria faced a tough challenge against a dominant South Africa side.

The match ended in defeat, but Nigeria still secured a spot in the next round, finishing second in the group with three points.

South Africa topped the group with six points after their third consecutive win, while New Zealand also progressed by defeating Samoa.
