U19 ICC World Cup: Junior Yellow Greens Edge Host Rwanda

Nigeria’s Junior Yellow Greens bounced back from their opening defeat to Uganda with a second consecutive victory at the U19 ICC World Cup qualifiers after defeating hosts Rwanda on Wednesday, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side produced a dominant performance to overcome Rwanda by seven wickets in a convincing display.

Rwanda, who batted first, were bowled out for 79 runs in 23.1 overs, struggling to build momentum against Nigeria’s disciplined bowling attack.

In response, the Junior Yellow Greens chased down the target with ease, reaching 84 runs for the loss of three wickets in 15.2 overs to secure the win.

The victory marks Nigeria’s second straight triumph in the competition after recovering strongly from their opening-game loss to Uganda.

The Junior Yellow Greens will continue their campaign as they aim to secure qualification for the next stage of the U19 ICC World Cup.
