U19 Women African Volleyball Championship: NVBF President Says He's Not Disappointed With Nigeria Performance

The President of the Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) Engr. Musa Nimrod has said that he is not disappointed with the dismal performance of the Nigeria U19 Girl's team, BSNSports.com.ng understand.

The Nigeria side has a tournament to forget in the African championship qualifier that was held at the MKO Abiola stadium in Abuja where they lost the two matches played to Egypt and Cameroon.

While speaking to the pressmen, the president commended the players and quickly shifted attention to the U19 boys that are campaigning in Morocco.

"I'm not disappointed with the performance of Nigeria because these are young children and they are just coming up. Most of them started not up to 3 or 4 months with this U19 and we are happy with them.

"We are looking up to the U19 boys to retain our Gold, they are in Morocco now and we are looking forward to winning. We just defeated Tunisia today, yesterday we defeated Cameroon and the other day we beat Sudan, so we have the capacity.

We are 9th in the ranking of U19 in the World, you can't joke with us in the U19 boys", he said.
