U19 Women's Basketball: Junior D'Tigress Face Canada, Two Others In Group B

FIBA has unveiled the groupings for the 2025 U19 Women’s Basketball World Cup, and Nigeria’s Junior D’Tigress have been handed a challenging draw, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The draw, which took place late on Tuesday, places the Nigerian team in Group B alongside Canada, China, and Portugal.

To secure a spot in this prestigious tournament, which will mark their first appearance on the world stage, the Junior D’Tigress earned their place by finishing as runners-up at last year’s U-18 Women’s AfroBasket.

Other groupings include Group A, featuring the USA, Israel, Hungary, and Korea; Group C with Australia, France, Brazil, and Mali; and Group D, which includes hosts Czechia, Spain, Japan, and Argentina.

The tournament is scheduled to take place from July 12 to 20, 2025, in Brno, Czech Republic.
