U20 AFCON: Ghana Coach Relieved To Avoid Nigeria

Ghana’s U20 team coach, Desmond Ofei, has expressed his relief at avoiding Nigeria’s Flying Eagles in the U20 Africa Cup of Nations, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Following the draw conducted by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on Thursday, Ghana was placed in Group A, alongside hosts Ivory Coast, Tanzania, UNIFFAC 2, and DR Congo.

In their previous encounter, Nigeria defeated Ghana 2-1 in the WAFU B final.

 “We’re glad not to be in Group B, as that’s a very challenging group,” Ofei told Joy Prime Sports.

“I believe we’re in a position where we can dictate the flow of this tournament from our end.”
