U20 AFCON: Remain Focused On Opener Against Tunisia - World Cup Winning Coach Charges Flying Eagles

Golden Eaglets Coach, Manu Garba has charged the Flying Eagles to put behind their victory over Egypt and focused on the Group B opener versus Tunisia

The Nigeria U20 national team on Tuesday beat the hosts, Egypt 2-1 in an international friendly game. Commenting on the victory, Manu wrote, "Congratulations to our Flying Eagles and that will give them a psychological boost to kick start the Afcon U20 tournament with confidence.

He added, "then, we must put behind the victory and focus on Tunisia for that is the most important game for now . Good luck as we pray for victory against Tunisia and subsequent matches." 

Housed in Group B alongside Tunisia, Kenya and Morocco the seven times African champions will trade tackles with Tunisia in group opener. The 13-nation tournament will commence on 27th April to end on 18th May, 2025. All semifinalists will qualify for the FIFA U20 World Cup.

In 2013, Manu Garba led Nigeria to win the FIFA U17 world cup and also won the African U20 Nations championship in 2015.
