U20 AFCON: South Africa Announces Preliminary Squad For Flying Eagles Clash

As preparations for the 2025 U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) intensify, South Africa has unveiled its preliminary squad for the tournament, according to BSNSports.com.ng.

The team secured qualification after reaching the final of the Southern African regional competition.

On Wednesday afternoon, head coach Raymond Mdaka announced a provisional 30-man squad, which will immediately enter a closed training camp. The final squad will be confirmed ahead of the tournament’s kickoff in Ivory Coast.

South Africa has been drawn into the same group as Nigeria’s Flying Eagles, Egypt, and Morocco.
