After reaching the quarter-final of the tournament, the head coach of the Hippos of Uganda Jackson Mayanja has shifted to their game against Nigeria, BSNSports.com.ng report.

The East Africans qualified for the last 8 of the 2023 U20 African Cup of Nations on Sunday after playing out a goalless draw against South Sudan.

"This tournament is a bit tricky but this is the game we had to get a result because I also rested my key players because I trust every player.

"Since that, we have qualified, now we're planning for the next one so that we can qualify for the next stage", he told CAF media.

The match against Nigeria's Flying Eagles is fixed for the Cairo International Stadium on Thursday.
