The coach of Nigeria's Flying Eagles,, Aliyu Zubair,u, has narrated how the defeat to Burkina Faso spurred the team to the 2025 African Cup of Nations qualification, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigerian side suffered a 1-0 loss to the Burkinbabes in the opening group game but they've recovered from the defeat since.

They bounced back to beat Ivory Coast in the second game before overcoming Niger in the semi-final.

" I commend the boys, they showed real character to fight back and win the match.

" It was the same way they did against Cote d'Ivoire ".

" We were disappointed when we lost to Burkina Faso in our opening game but we have since bounced back to top reckoning ", he said.

Nigeria will confront Ghana in the final of the WAFU B competition on Wednesday to determine the eventual winner.
