The head coach of the Dominican Republic Walter Benitez has insisted that they fight to secure a good result against Nigeria's Flying Eagles, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The debutant will confront Nigeria in the opening group match before facing Italy and Brazil in their last two group matches.

The coach was excited about the upcoming tournament in Argentina but feels a good result against Nigeria will allow them to progress in the tournament.

“We have to study Italy and Nigeria, which is our first rival to try to find the best ways and get to those games with the best weapons and try to get the best possible result.

"The important thing is that we are all very happy because we are getting closer to the objective, which is to arrive at that event in the best way and with the best disposition.

“We will try to go looking for objectives that are not only to participate, but to compete in the best way, with our eyes set on the hope of being able to get through the group stage and for that we have to adopt good strategies and try to be able to take advantage in every game, so that is the main thing for us as a coaching staff and I know that it will be for the players as well”, he said.
