U20 World Cup: Colombia Coach Aims To Get It Right Against Nigeria
Sampson Adedeji
Colombia’s U20 head coach, Cesar Torres, has set his sights on a better outing when his team faces Nigeria in their final group fixture at the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup in Chile, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The South Americans were held to a goalless draw by Norway in their second group game, leaving them with work to do ahead of the crucial clash against the Flying Eagles.
The outcome of the match will play a decisive role in shaping the group standings. Speaking after the stalemate, Torres expressed satisfaction with his players’ commitment but admitted that they need to be more clinical in attack.
“I’m pleased. We searched everywhere, we attacked from all sides, in all areas, on all lanes. I have nothing to reproach the players for".
"They searched, they tried, we were close. We just lacked that touch of quality in the final third, but I know we will achieve that as we progress,” he said.
Nigeria, who defeated Saudi Arabia 3-2 in their last outing, will also be going all out for victory, making the clash a must-watch decider.
