U20 World Cup: Dominican Republic Shift Focus On Nigeria, Give Reasons For Defeat To Argentina

The technical director of the Dominican Republic Walter Benitez has explained the reason they suffered a heavy loss to Argentina in their last warm-up game, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The World Cup debutant suffered a 4-0 defeat to Argentina earlier on Friday but Benitez quickly admitted that the South Americans have better players and shifted his focus on the game against Nigeria.

“We are working based on what we are going to do against Nigeria.

Even though Argentina is a rival with a very high level that has players who play in the first division in various European leagues and in the Argentine league itself, I think we did the right thing in making those changes", he said.

The Dominican Republic will face Nigeria in the opening group match before playing Brazil and Italy later in the group.
