U20 World Cup: FIFA Names Match Officials, Excludes Nigerian Referees

Ahead of the 2025 U20 World Cup in Chile, FIFA has released the list of match officials for the tournament, with no Nigerian referee making the cut, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The biennial competition will feature 32 teams, including Nigeria’s Flying Eagles. However, despite the country’s participation, no Nigerian referee or assistant referee was selected.
Africa will be represented by three centre referees and six assistant referees. Morocco leads the continent with three officials, while Algeria, Ethiopia, Togo, Namibia, Comoros, Tunisia, and Egypt each have one representative.
Referees: Artan Omar Abdulkadir Gamouh Youcef and Jayed Jalal
Assistant Referees: Ayimavo Eric, Montenegro Abelmiro, Hassani Khalil, Cheruiyot Gilbert, Azgaou Lahsen and Akarkad Mostafa.
