Ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup, the Flying Eagles are set to welcome their invited foreign-based players to camp this week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Nigeria booked their place in the tournament after finishing third at the last U-20 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
Head coach Aliyu Zubairu opened camp in Abuja earlier this month for the second phase of preparations and has now extended invitations to several overseas-based players following the team’s underwhelming performance in Egypt.
Among those expected to join up this week are Wilfred George, Christian Nwachukwu, Divine Onyemaechi, and Jonathan Spiff Asuzu.
The Flying Eagles will jet out of the country next month for the final stage of their training program. Nigeria has been drawn in Group F alongside Colombia, Norway, and Saudi Arabia.
