Norway U-20 coach Bjørn Johansen has described Nigeria as the most physically imposing team in Group F ahead of the 2025 FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tournament will run from September 27 to October 19, with Group F featuring Nigeria, Norway, Saudi Arabia, and Colombia.

This year marks Norway’s fourth appearance at the U-20 World Cup. Their previous outings were in 1989, 1993, and 2019 the latter highlighted by Manchester City striker Erling Haaland’s record nine-goal haul in a 12-0 thrashing of Honduras.

Despite such moments, the Scandinavians have never progressed beyond the group stage.

Speaking ahead of the competition, Johansen admitted he has plenty to consider about their opponents.

“It is a natural ambition, no doubt about it. There are three quite different teams in terms of style and physicality.

"Nigeria is the strongest physically, Colombia I consider the best footballing side, and Saudi Arabia has great technical ability".

"They are exciting opponents, but it’s a group we believe we can advance from,” he said. Nigeria will open their campaign against Norway on September 29.
