U20 World Cup: Peseiro Hails Flying Eagles Heroic Performance Against Argentina

Super Eagle coach, Jose Peseiro, has joined the millions of football fans across the world in saluting the heroic performance of the Flying Eagles against Argentina in the Round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA U20 World Cup, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Two second-half goals from Ibrahim Muhammad and Haliru Sarki ensured that Flying Eagles secured a passage to the quarter-final of the tournament.

The Portuguese gaffer who was impressed with the superlative performance of the team, saluted the team's brilliance and wished them the best in their subsequent matches.

" Brilliant game today. Proud of our U20 team who fought valiantly and emerged victorious against Argentina. Peseiro said.

He attributed the victory to the never say die spirits of Nigerians.

"This is a testament to their determination, skill, and the spirit of Nigerian football. Onward to the quarter-finals! ", he said through his Twitter handle.

The Flying Eagles will be back in action in the quarter final duel on Sunday when they face the winners between Ecuador and South Korea in the Round of 16 which takes place today.
