U20WWC Qualifier: Falconets, Malawi Clash Gets Date

The date for the crucial final round of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup qualifier between Nigeria’s Falconets and Malawi has been confirmed, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

Nigeria’s Falconets booked their place in the last round after edging Senegal 3-1 on aggregate in the previous stage of the qualifiers. Malawi, on their part, secured qualification after a commanding performance against Guinea Bissau to advance to the decisive round.

According to the schedule released, the first leg of the tie will take place in Nigeria between May 1 and 3, 2026. The return leg is slated for Blantyre, Malawi, between May 8 and 10, 2026.

The winner over the two legs will earn a ticket to represent Africa at the upcoming FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup scheduled to be hosted in Poland.

Both teams are expected to intensify preparations ahead of the highly anticipated encounter as they aim to secure qualification for the global showpiece.
