The Young Lionesses departed Dakar on Tuesday, en route to Lagos, as preparations intensify for the high-stakes encounter between both West African rivals.

The first leg of the qualifier is scheduled to be held on Saturday, February 7, at the MKO Abiola Stadium, Abeokuta, where Nigeria’s Falconets will look to secure a strong home advantage before the return leg.

Both teams are targeting a place at the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup, making the tie a crucial test of ambition, preparation, and regional supremacy, with qualification on the line for the winner.
