U20WWQ: Malawi Throws Gate Open Open For Falconet Clash

Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, will face a charged atmosphere in Malawi after the Football Association of Malawi announced free entry for fans ahead of the decisive second leg of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup qualifier, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The move is aimed at attracting a full stadium as Malawi seek to overturn a 2-0 first-leg deficit against the Nigerian side.

The Falconets secured a comfortable advantage in the first meeting and are now in a strong position ahead of the return leg.

According to information released by the Malawi federation, general admission into the stadium will be free for regular supporters, while VIP tickets will be sold for Ksh 10,000 and Ksh 20,000 respectively.

Malawi will be banking on strong home support to inspire a comeback against the seven-time African champions.

The winner on aggregate over the two legs will qualify for the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup scheduled to hold in Poland later this year.
