As the 2023 U23 African Cup of Nations set to kick off on Saturday in Morocco, the head coach of the Junior Atlas Lions, Issame Chara, has said they have learnt from Nigeria's defeat to Guinea, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Junior Syli Stars defeated Nigeria's Olympic Eagles over the two legs and secured a ticket to the CAF 2023 U23 African Nations Cup (AFCON).

Morocco as the host country will face Guinea in the opening game on Saturday and their coach during a press conference made it clear that if Guinea can defeat a tough team like Nigeria then, they won't underrate the Guineans.

" We will not underrate Guinea because they qualified for this tournament by eliminating a tough team like Nigeria.

“Guinea represents a real opposition. That will not be an easy game and it will be up to us to stay disciplined and focused, the coach said.

Morocco will play Guinea in their opening Group A match at Rabat's Prince Moulay Abdellah Sports Complex.
