U23 AFCON: Morocco Offer To Stage Next Edition

With the African soccer ruling body yet to open bidding for the next U23 African Cup of Nations, Morocco has submitted a bid to stage the tournament, BSNsports.com.ng gathered


North Africa's neighbour Tunisia was touted to be nursing the ambition of hosting the competition in 2023.


Morocco was the first country to stage the tournament in 2011 when it started and they ended up as the first runner up after Gabon defeated them in the final.


According to an update from the country, the football body has approached CAF to host the competition that will also serve as a qualifier for the 2024 Olympics games coming up in Paris France.


The tournament is slated to hold between November 2nd to 26th, 2023.
