No fewer than 24 players invited to the national Under-23 camp in Ibadan, were made to sweat it out as they were put to their pace by the team's trainers, under the watchful eyes of Head Coach Salisu Yusuf at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba.
BSNSports.com.ng sourced from Sunday Agunbiade (Mr VAR) that 24 players took part in morning and evening practice sessions, and underwent different training cores on Tuesday as they continued their preparation for the African Cup of Nations Qualifiers against Tanzania later this month.
It would be recalled that 32 players were officially invited to camp by the Salisu Yusuf-led technical crew.
While players within 22 years of age have been technically considered to be outside the age bracket due to the anticipated Olympic tournament, more players have already been called upon to fill the gap until a final squad is selected.
According to NFF Director of Communications, Ademola Olajire; "Nigerian contingent will depart Nigeria on October 18 for Dar es Salaam, for the first leg match scheduled for the weekend of October 21 to Oct. 23rd and added that the team would return to Ibadan to prepare for the return leg match, which would be held at the Lekan Salami Stadium on Oct. 29".
The training continues Wednesday at 7 am while evening training commences at 4 pm at the same venue.
