U23 AFCON Qualifier: Makanjuola Inspired Olympic Eagles Thrash Tanzania

Spain-based Success Makanjuola ran the show for the Olympic Eagles as they beat visiting Young Taifa Stars 2-0 at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Adamasingba, Ibadan, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

After a keenly contested first half, the Nigerian side took over the game from the start of the second half and their efforts paid off as Oguniyi Omojesu's sublime free-kick gave Olympic Eagles a deserved lead.

It was Makanjuola that put the game beyond Tanzania as he netted the second goal from the spot after Nigeria was awarded a spot kick.

The away side tried all their effort to get back into the game but the host did enough to fight off all their threats to secure a 3-1 aggregate win and progress into the next round.
