Nigeria's Super Eagles and FC Porto defender Zaidu Sanusi is extremely delighted with the club's win over the German Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The Nigeria international rose from the bench to give the Portuguese giant the opening goal in the 69th minute and they went on to win the game 2-0.

While reacting to the result, Sanusi said the victory is very important for the club.

"This victory is very important for us and our path,” he said after the match.

Porto who occupied the second position on the table will travel to Germany next Wednesday to confront the same opponent on matchday 4 of the competition.
