UK, France, China, Hong Kong, Players To Arrive Abuja Ahead Of World Junior Competition

64 tennis players from across the world are taking part in the 2025 ITF Junior Circuit J30 tournament holding at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
The two weeks event will hold as follows; Week 1 which commences from 17th February ends 22nd while Week 2 begins on 24th February and ends March 2nd.
Following the importance of the tournament, it has attracted players from United Kingdom, France, China, India, Hong Kong, Lebanon and Egypt.
With Nigeria having the highest number of participants, the competition offers a valuable platform for young tennis players to compete and gain world ranking points, showcasing a diverse international participation. The players will compete in both singles and doubles categories for boys and girls. They will earn points for their world junior rankings, with the singles champions receiving 30 points and doubles winners 20 points each.
The ITF U18-J30 Tennis Tournament is an important event in the International Tennis Federation’s (ITF) junior tennis circuit. For young players, it offers a great opportunity for young Nigerian players to hone in their skills, develop strategies, and gain confidence by competing against international opponents.
The tournament also serves as a platform to strengthen their mental toughness, an essential quality for players aspiring to progress in professional tennis.
In addition, the event is expected to promote Nigeria cultural and historical landmarks, as well as its economic and social potential, to both domestic and international audiences.
