US Tour: D'Tigress Suffers Defeat, Shift Attention To Minnesota Lynx

Nigeria’s senior women’s basketball team, D’Tigress, suffered a 63–89 defeat to Los Angeles Sparks in the opening game of their United States tour, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The African champions were handed a tough test against the experienced WNBA side and found it difficult to keep pace across all four quarters. Despite showing flashes of quality, D’Tigress struggled to match the Sparks’ intensity and clinical execution.

The fixture forms part of Nigeria’s build-up programme, aimed at strengthening the squad’s competitiveness against elite opposition ahead of upcoming international engagements.

D’Tigress will look to bounce back quickly when they take on the Minnesota Lynx on Monday, April 27, as their US tour continues.
