Ugandan long-distance and marathon runner Rebecca Cheptegei has tragically died from severe burn injuries after her alleged boyfriend doused her with petrol and set her on fire, BSNSports.com.ng reports. According to reports in Uganda, Cheptegei, who ran for her country at the Paris 2024 Olympics, has passed away. The marathoner had been doused with petrol and set on fire after a disagreement over a piece of land with her boyfriend in Eldoret as her body suffered 75% burns.
