Nigeria men deaf team suffered a 2-0 defeat to Ukraine in the Round of 16 of the World Deaf Football Championship in Malaysia, BSNSports.com.ng can report.

The Deaf Eagles conceded a goal on the brink of halftime and seven minutes into the second half to face the exit door.

The Nigerian team had spanked Australia 5-0 in their final group game to book a spot in the World Deaf Football Championship knockout stage.

The Deaf Eagles had lost the first two group stage matches to Gabon and England but were ruthless in a 5-0 defeat of Australia to finish as one of the best losers.

The 4th World Deaf Football Championship kicked off in Malaysia on September 23 with the final match to take place on October 7, 2023.
