Unity Cup Targets 50 Million Global Viewers Ahead of 2026 Tournament

Organisers and commercial partners of the Unity Cup are targeting a global audience of 50 million viewers as preparations intensify for the 2026 edition of the international invitational tournament featuring Nigeria, Jamaica, Zimbabwe and India, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The tournament, scheduled to hold in London from May 26 to 30, is being positioned as one of the fastest-growing football properties connecting diaspora communities through sport and culture.

In a move aimed at expanding the competition’s commercial footprint, leading marketing and communications firm Teksight Edge has been appointed lead sponsorship and commercial partner to Zantiri Africa, one of the tournament’s principal investors. The partnership is expected to provide brands with access to a diverse and highly engaged multicultural audience.

Chief Operating Officer of Zantiri Africa, Franklyn Upeters, described the Unity Cup as a platform with significant cultural and commercial value.

“Unity Cup has established itself as a culturally relevant and commercially compelling platform,” Upeters said. “Our partnership with Teksight Edge is focused on accelerating its growth trajectory by unlocking new revenue streams, deepening brand engagement and delivering integrated value across the tournament ecosystem.”

General Manager of Teksight Edge, Odinaka Mbonu, said the company’s objective would be to create impactful partnerships that resonate with diaspora audiences while delivering measurable returns for stakeholders.

“Our mandate is to curate partnerships that go beyond visibility, creating authentic, data-driven brand experiences that resonate with diaspora audiences while delivering measurable commercial outcomes for our partners,” Mbonu said.

The latest investment initiative follows the successful staging of the 2025 edition of the competition, which received strategic support from PAC Holdings through its investment banking subsidiary, PAC Capital.

Nigeria, defending champions of the tournament, won the last edition after defeating Jamaica 5-4 on penalties in Brentford.

The Super Eagles will begin their title defence against Zimbabwe in the first semi-final on May 26 at The Valley in South London. Jamaica and India will meet in the second semi-final a day later, with the winners advancing to the final scheduled for May 30 at Charlton Athletic Stadium.
