Unity Preseason Tournament Gets August 11 Kickoff Date

Organizers of the Unity Preseason Tournament have scheduled the 2024 edition to kick off on Sunday, August 11th, reports BSNSports.com.ng.

Announcing this in Abuja, the General Coordinator of the tournament Patrick Ngwaogu (Odogwu) said the tournament which would take place in Abuja, will run from 11th to 18th August 2024.

He mentioned that the main tournament in the Northern region is intended to ensure that the teams are well-prepared for the 2024/2025 league season.

Ngwaogu who was the first Vice Chairman of the FCT Football Association said all the expected clubs have been notified and they are very excited about it and are prepared to use the Abuja tournament as a rehearsal for the new season.

It would be recalled that the tournament which is in its fourth edition showcased the likes of Frederick Benjamin then of SimonBen Academy and Onuche Ogbelu then of FOSLA Academy to the national team selectors. Both players later played for the U-20 national team before taking their trade overseas.
